“Riding a tide of youthful energy, 'The Great and The Good' is delivered with infectious enthusiasm and fizz. It even features a break for some hand-clap friendly drumbeats and a crowd-pleasing "whooooa-whoooooa" gang vocal that's guaranteed to give any live audience a vocal chord workout. 3/5”

We were impressed with their live performance last year at The White Air Festival in Brighton, and Max Raptor have been busy boys since then. Record label NAIM Edge have picked up their debut single The Great And The Good, which was previously released independently on EP, and an album is to follow which is great news for the band.

This single captures all the frenetic energy of the band and their chaotic live shows. Its a rock out piece that starts out with a driving drum beat and crashing guitars and lead singer Wil Ray screaming out the lyrics "I pin this badge upon my chest". The band harmonise well to support Ray and this song just aches to be blasted out at full volume to get your fists pumping in the air. This is sweaty pub rock at its best and the band will surely get more exposure with this single on major distribution.

Let's hope we'll be seeing more of them soon.
