Phantom Limb: Don't Say A Word review on Blues and Soul

Blues and Soul

A bit of a wild card for us here at B&S towers, but none the less worthy of merit.

Bristol's Phantom Limb combine southern style soul with a blend of country blues and gospel. This debut single,a corker of tune, could see the band orbit into Norah Jones territory (and any luck her success!)

It's refreshing to hear great stacked backing vocals resounding away in the mix and lead singer Yolanda Quarty's smokey, soulful singing is intriguing and intimately delivered. Refreshing to hear an all acoustic effort, no artifice here - definitely one to watch...
