Having cut their carnivorous teeth landing support slots with The Zutons, Cage the Elephant, The Stanglers and Billy Talent, the Max Raptor boys recently embarked on a UK headline tour through July. Max Raptor are now set to release their fiery new single Ghosts and EF had a listen.

Max Raptor unleash their single Ghosts, which kicks in straight away with the heavy guitars and a classic punk rock sound. Ghosts is what good old punk used to be about and Max Raptors make it sound effortless. Once you reach the chorus it gets really anthemic and its easy to see that this song would do well live.

There isn’t anything wrong with the single, the lyrics are easy to get, the music is enjoyable and the chorus has something really anthemic about itself but then something seems to be missing, a lift or maybe a peak to the song. Ghosts is a good song but lacking a little originality.
