“Riding a tide of youthful energy, 'The Great and The Good' is delivered with infectious enthusiasm and fizz. It even features a break for some hand-clap friendly drumbeats and a crowd-pleasing "whooooa-whoooooa" gang vocal that's guaranteed to give any live audience a vocal chord workout. 3/5”

The Great & The Good on Altsounds

Summer has almost crept away without anyone knowing it was here, but Max Raptor's The Great And The Good is a track in which one can certainly re-live afternoons of gyrating fun amidst a sun-kissed congregation of scenesters.
It's hard to get a sense of a band when only presented with one song, but I'd imagine that Max Raptor has plenty of other explosive anthems with similarly hummable Kaiser Chief-esque ‘wooaaahh' melismatic hooks. I would also put a good portion of the contents of my wallet, as well the wallet itself, on them being absolutely rip-roaring live. The excellent thing about this offering is that it really does capture the intensity and flat-out raucousness Max Raptor harbor. Charging off from the start with pounding drums, the rest of the band enter with more energy and furvor than Lady Gaga's style-squad thinking of the next ‘look'. Before you know it you have been propelled through 'The Great And The Good''s three minute duration and are already reaching for the repeat button, if you haven't already listened x times in a row already.
Check them out on their two week long UK mini-tour starting at the end of September.
