'Fitzsimmons seems to have poured his heart into this collection and the result is one of the most consistent pieces of music you will find all year. From start to finish the level rarely wanes and if you want to have a clearer indication of how good it is I would say it stands proudly beside Postal Service's 'Give Up'. A staggeringly high class mix of emotion, dance production and above all, talent.'

This is little more than a holding project for Illinois singer-songwriter William Fitzsimmons, an eight-track re-imagining of songs from his last mainstream album plus, somewhat strangely, a low-key cover version of Katy Perry's number one hit I Kissed a Girl. Fitzsimmons, born to two blind parents in Pennsylvania, mixes acoustic guitar with low-key electronica to mesmerising effect, particularly on the outstanding opener I Don't Feel It Anymore (featuring Brooke Fraser). There are two versions of that song on this mini album but no matter, they have both been reinterpreted in significantly different ways. Other stand outs include You Still Hurt Me and So This Is Goodbye. Think American contemporaries such as Sufjan Stevens and the late Elliott Smith for a taste of what to expect. Fitzsimmons is a star in the making.
