Naim Edge Records, the label imprint formed in 2008 with a new manifesto to promote fresh cutting edge music of all forms, has been nominated for Best Small Label, on a shortlist with three other great boutique indie labels, at the AIM Independent Music Awards 2011, on 10th November 2011. In its short tenure Naim Edge has drawn critical acclaim for acts as diverse as country-soul sextet Phantom Limb, Essex boys The Milk, literary rockers Tellison and punk newcomers Max
Raptor as well as folk chanteuse Gwyneth Herbert, the legendary Jon Thorne & Danny Thompson, internet sensation William Fitzsimmons, Swedish postrockers Jeniferever, the californian pop of AM, frat-bop from Boy Com and electro of Elektralux.
The award ceremony, presented by BBC radio DJ's Huw Stephens and Steve Lamacq features a host of categories honouring the success of super-sellers like Adele right through to the metal-core madness of Bring Me The Horizon. Bjork will also be awarded an Outstanding Contribution To Music.
