Biography
Naim and True Stereo engineer Ken Christianson fulfilled Janvier Jones' long time dream, by recording her debut solo album for her in 2000. Jones, whose long-standing love affair with the Chicago jazz scene, inspired her to co-write an entire album worth of vocal material over a twelve-month period. Jones was introduced to Christianson by her husband Ted Sirota, the band leader and drummer, who had been working with Naim for some years, prior to this engagement. Sirota even plays drums and heads up Jones' band. Her group also consists of Renee Ruffin McClow (backing vocals), Matt Lux (bass), Rick Gehrenbeck (fender rhodes), Nord Ruben Alvarez (percussion), Peter Lerner (guitar) and Pete Benson (moog/organ).
