The Eberle have an impressive musical history, having played regularly with the London Virtuosi, London Festival Orchestra, BBC Symphony and the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
The Eberle musicians gave their first String Quartet concerts in 1993, forming an immediate and characteristic rapport which has become their trademark.
They take their name from the leader's violin, which was made in Naples by Tomaso Eberle. Daphne Moody (violin), Jennifer Gibbs (violin), Moira Alabaster (viola) and Muriel Daniels (cello) form the Eberle String Quartet.
In recent years they have been sought after for chamber music holidays in Britain and abroad. All are close friends who have brought a wealth of chamber music repertoire to Festivals and Chamber Music clubs and are well loved for their immediate rapport with their audiences. Allan Schiller's talents as a raconteur combine to present concerts that will both satisfy the connoisseur and send the listener home with a smile.
The Eberle musicians travel extensively, giving recitals, workshops and master classes in Britain and Europe. All four players are members of the Sarum Orchestra under whose umbrella they play many chamber works.
