Charlie Haden & John Taylor

Charlie Haden & John Taylor
In the tradition of Naim super-duos, Haden exchanges musically with a choice pianist, whose four decades worth of critical acclaim make him one of the best British jazz exports alive today.

Biography

The bass playing of Charlie Haden and the affect it has had on jazz composition and the role of the double bass in contemporary music as we now know it is immeasurable. Naim are proud to host his audiophile duo outings, the next on his long wish list of highly regarded players was John Taylor.

As equally respected as Charlie, John is probably best known for his work with the ECM label, having founded his trio Azimuth in the late 70s with Norma Winstone and Kenny Wheeler. John is currently a member of Kenny Wheeler's quartet and large ensemble, and performs in duo and quartet settings with John Surman.
